Cookie Policy.

Last updated: August 10, 2026

This page lists what opsautomators.com actually stores in your browser. Names, purposes, lifetimes, all of it. Our Privacy Policy covers the wider question of what we do with personal information; this one sticks to cookies and the two or three things we keep in local storage.

1. The short version

Nothing optional runs until you say yes. Google Consent Mode is initialised with analytics, advertising, and personalisation all set to denied before any tag loads, so a first visit sets no analytics or advertising cookies at all. If you pick Reject non-essential, it stays that way.

The only things stored before you decide are the three items in the next table, and one of them exists purely to remember your answer.

2. Strictly necessary

These run without consent because the site cannot do its job without them. None of them track you across other websites.

NameTypeWhat it doesLifetime
opsa_consent_v1Local storageHolds your cookie choice so the banner stops asking, and so your decision is re-applied on every page load instead of resetting to denied.Until you clear it or we change the banner
ops-automators-cart-v1Local storageKeeps your automation catalogue cart intact as you move between pages and after a reload.Until you clear it
ops_admin_auth_v1Cookie, HttpOnlySigns our own team into the internal dashboard at /admin. It is only ever set after a successful staff login, never for a site visitor.7 days

Two things worth noting. Our web fonts are self-hosted, so loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts or any other font CDN. And Vercel Speed Insights, which measures page-load performance, works from a beacon rather than a cookie and stores nothing in your browser.

3. Analytics, only if you opt in

Granting the Analytics toggle turns on Google Analytics 4 (delivered through Google Tag Manager, container GTM-59BGRFZS) and Microsoft Clarity. We use them to see which pages help operators and which ones lose people. Clarity also records anonymised session replays, with input fields masked.

NameSet byWhat it doesLifetime
_gaGoogle Analytics 4Assigns your browser a random ID so repeat visits count as one visitor rather than several.2 years
_ga_<stream id>Google Analytics 4Tracks session state: when the visit started, which page you landed on, whether the session is still active.2 years
_clckMicrosoft ClarityLinks this browser to a Clarity user ID so multiple visits can be grouped.1 year
_clskMicrosoft ClarityStitches the page views in one visit into a single session recording.1 day
CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, SMMicrosoft, on clarity.ms and c.bing.comThird-party identifiers Clarity uses to deduplicate users and verify the recording request. Set on Microsoft’s domains, not ours.Up to 1 year

GA4 data is retained for 14 months. Clarity recordings are kept for 30 days and then deleted.

4. Marketing, only if you opt in

The Marketing toggle controls four Consent Mode signals: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and personalization_storage. Advertising tags run through the same Tag Manager container as our analytics, and they stay dormant while those signals are denied.

When an advertising tag is live and you have opted in, it sets Google advertising cookies. In practice that means _gcl_au on our domain, which links a click to a conversion for up to 90 days, plus cookies such as IDE on doubleclick.net for remarketing, which last up to 13 months. Any tag from a different vendor gets added to this table before it goes live.

5. Payments and other sites

Paying a deposit sends you to Stripe Checkout on checkout.stripe.com. Stripe sets its own cookies there for fraud prevention and to keep the payment session alive. Those are Stripe’s, governed by Stripe’s privacy policy, and our banner has no control over them. The same goes for anything you click through to on LinkedIn, X, or Instagram.

6. Changing your answer

Open the banner again with at the bottom of any page, flip whichever toggle you want, and save. A revoked permission takes effect immediately: Clarity stops loading and Google’s tags drop back to cookieless pings. Cookies already written stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them, which you can do from your browser’s privacy settings.

Clearing site data also wipes opsa_consent_v1 and your cart, so the banner will greet you again on the next visit.

7. Do Not Track

We do not act on the browser DNT header, because there is no agreed standard for what a site should do with it. The consent banner is the control that works here, and it applies worldwide rather than only to EU and UK visitors.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this page whenever a cookie or storage key is added, removed, or repurposed, and change the date at the top when we do. Questions about any row above go to info@opsautomators.com.
