Retainers run on a 6-month minimum engagement, then continue month-to-month with 30 days' notice to wrap up. Unused hours roll forward up to 1 month. Need more than 40 hours/month? We'll quote a custom retainer.

What's included in the free discovery call?

A 30-minute conversation about your stack, the workflows you're losing time on, and which automations would pay back fastest. We come prepared with research on your industry's typical builds and walk you through realistic scope, timeline, and pricing. No pitch deck, no obligation — most calls end with a written scoping note in your inbox within 24 hours.

Do you require a deposit to start work?

Yes — for fixed-fee projects, we collect a 25% deposit at kickoff to reserve a build slot. The remainder is billed at go-live, or in equal installments at agreed milestones for projects over 4 weeks. Retainers are billed monthly in advance starting from the engagement start date.

What if our scope changes mid-project?

Fixed-fee scope is locked once you sign the SOW — that's the whole point of fixed-fee. If you add scope mid-build, we'll quote the addition as a separate change order with its own price and timeline. We do NOT slip the original scope to absorb new asks. Most projects ship within their original scope; about 1 in 4 add a change order during the build.

Do you sign NDAs and DPAs?

Yes. We sign standard mutual NDAs before any commercial conversation if you prefer to start there. For engagements that involve customer data, we sign DPAs (GDPR / CCPA) and BAAs (HIPAA-adjacent industries). We do not sign one-sided NDAs that bind us indefinitely.

Can we pilot a small project before committing to something bigger?

Yes — that's the most common path. We recommend starting with a $2,500–$7,000 "Quick play" project (a single high-ROI automation, 1–3 weeks) so you can see how we work before signing a larger engagement. About 70% of pilots roll into a Standard build or a retainer.

What happens if we want to cancel?

Fixed-fee projects: cancel any time before work starts and your deposit is fully refundable. Once development is underway, the deposit is non-refundable but covers all hours worked to date; we hand over partial work + documentation. Retainers: 6-month minimum, then month-to-month with 30 days' notice. We don't lock you into multi-year contracts.

Who owns the code and the workflows after launch?

You do — 100%. Source code, n8n/Zapier workflows, Salesforce metadata, configuration files, and documentation are all yours. We deliver via your GitHub or your preferred repo. You can extend, modify, or hand the build off to another vendor without our involvement.

What's NOT included in your pricing?

Software licenses (Salesforce seats, n8n cloud subscriptions, Stripe transaction fees, etc.) — you pay your vendors directly. Travel + on-site delivery if you specifically need it (rare). Engagement-specific compliance audits or pen tests. Translations + localization beyond English. Anything explicitly listed as out-of-scope in your SOW.

How do retainer hours work? Do unused hours expire?

Retainer hours can roll forward one month. So if you don't use your 20 hours in May, they're available in June — but if you don't use them in June either, they expire end of June. We don't operate true "hour bank" billing because it incentivizes hoarding rather than shipping. Hours are tracked in detail and reconciled monthly.

Do you take equity or alternative compensation instead of cash?

No. Cash-only engagements keep the relationship clean and let us focus on the work rather than managing a cap table. If you're a pre-revenue startup with cash constraints, we can offer extended payment terms (60–90 day net) or a smaller scoped pilot to make the math work.
