Northstar discovery call

Today, 10:00 AM · 30 minutes · Alex Morgan

01 / THE BIG PICTURE

Alex leads operations at Northstar, a B2B services firm. The team wants a more reliable handoff from signed proposal to client kickoff.

02 / WHERE YOU LEFT OFF

Alex’s last note: project managers re-enter deal details after every sale. You promised to bring a handoff example. No budget is recorded.

03 / GO IN WITH A GOOD QUESTION

“When a deal closes, which details does delivery still have to chase?”

One thing to check

The CRM lists Alex as the main contact. Confirm who else approves changes to the process.

Example sources: calendar invite · CRM account · last call note

Fictional people and company. A shortened preview of a brief designed to take about five minutes to read.

The context you need, before you join.

Less searching. More context.

The first few minutes
should move the conversation forward.

For sales reps

Pick up where the last conversation ended. See open commitments and relevant account notes before asking the prospect to repeat themselves.

For account managers

Go into a renewal or check-in knowing what was promised, which issues are still open, and what needs a follow-up.

For founders and consultants

Switch between calls with the company, people, and purpose in view. Keep useful context close when your calendar is full.

How we build it

From calendar invite to useful brief.

  1. 01

    Watch the calendar

Identify eligible meetings and the team member who needs the brief.

  2. 02

    Gather the context

Match attendees to CRM records and retrieve approved notes, with source references.

  3. 03

    Prepare the brief

Summarize the relationship, highlight commitments, and flag gaps before delivery.

  4. 04

    Send it privately

Deliver to Slack or email at the agreed time. Handle changes without duplicate messages.

Start with the information your team already trusts. Public company research and additional sources can follow once the core brief is useful.

Before we connect your systems

A few practical questions.

Does the brief arrive five minutes before the call?

Five minutes is the intended reading time. We agree on a delivery schedule with your team, such as 30 minutes before a call or a morning digest. Last-minute bookings and reschedules need their own rules.

Which systems can be included?

We scope the first build around one calendar, one CRM, and either Slack or email. Additional meeting notes, email history, and public company research depend on the access and sources you approve. We confirm connector requirements before quoting.

What if the agent can't find the right person?

An uncertain match should be flagged, not guessed. The proposed workflow supplies the available calendar context and identifies the missing information. It keeps facts separate from suggested questions and links back to source records.

Who receives the brief?

The intended recipient is your team member, in a private Slack message or their inbox. Meeting guests don't receive internal account notes. We define access, recipient mapping, and retention as part of the build.

How much does it cost?

We quote the build after confirming your systems, source access, delivery rules, and exception handling. Additional research sources and ongoing model or platform costs are scoped explicitly. Start with a free discovery call.

Is this a live product demo?

This is a fictional sample of the deliverable. We build and configure the automation for your process. If your existing tools already prepare a useful brief with the right context, using that feature may be enough.
